Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Market Representation Analyst for the Toyota Boston Region located in Mansfield, MA. This role involves implementing and overseeing initiatives that bolsters the Region's Market Representation department. The primary responsibility is to craft and present Market Representation packages for approval by Toyota Motor North America Retail Market Development. Direct areas of accountability include Market Representation, Business Management and Facilities, all falling within the purview of the Market Representation department. Adherence to Toyota policies and procedures regarding dealership management, ownership structure, capitalization, and facilities is crucial. This role plays a pivotal part in Toyota's pursuit of achieving top-tier representation across markets, focusing on securing premier dealerships, facilities, and locations within every market served.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare and submit Market Representation actions including buy/sells, ownership changes, nomination of successor, entity / DBA name changes, Toyota Dealer Agreement renewals and General Manager changes
  • Evaluate and prepare dealership site requests, location amendments, facility measurement recording and facility tracking reports
  • Analyze dealer performance vs. Toyota's minimum standards (sales, customer retention/loyalty, capitalization, profitability, facilities)
  • Perform dealership financial evaluations, holding company compliance reviews, dealership pro forma financial statement assessments, SmartView performance trend analysis, etc.
  • Utilize SmartView to produce monthly Market Representation reports and support ad hoc reporting requests for all other Region departments
  • Support the Boston Region General Manager Evaluation program
  • Support the Boston Region Dealer Performance Review program
  • Thoroughly evaluate all proposals/packages for compliance with Market Representation policies
  • Secure Regional Management concurrence on proposed actions and strategies
  • Manage package approval process between dealer, Region and TMS to ensure timely resolution to follow-up items
  • Communicate closely with dealership, Region and Toyota HQ stakeholders throughout the evaluation process on all actions
  • Support maintenance of accurate market representation dealer files and effective departmental electronic records retention
  • Assist with Staff Manager and Field Traveler support, participate in all training events, support special ad hoc reporting requests and assist with execution of Regional events as required
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
  • Assist with field training on Market Representation Policies and Procedures

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR equivalent professional work experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, accuracy and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is paramount
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate data to management-level professionals
  • The Ability to be on-site, in the office 5 days a week in Mansfield, MA.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Market Representation/Business Management experience at either the corporate or regional level
  • Accounting experience and familiarity with financial statement analysis
  • Paralegal/corporate documentation knowledge and understanding of State franchise laws
  • Architectural / AutoCAD experience
  • Capability and desire to learn and proficiently use proprietary company and vendor software programs
