Who we're looking for

Toyota's TFS Accounting Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Global Financial Reporting Senior Analyst.

The primary responsibilities of the Global Financial Reporting Senior Analyst are to assist with the preparation and compilation of quarterly IFRS and Japan GAAP reporting packages to TMC and TFSC. This includes facilitating the planning and coordination of reporting timelines to various operational accounting teams within the organization.

Reporting to the Global Financial Reporting Manager, the person in this role will support the Accounting and Finance department's objective to achieve timely and accurate reporting to our shareholders and customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare Japan (CONETS) financial reporting package quarterly for TMCC, TFSIC, and TFSS USA under both IFRS and JGAAP which includes performing variance analyses on changes period over period.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of the CONETS reporting processes and objectives to identify improvement/kaizen opportunities; then articulate, coordinate/collaborate, and execute the appropriate activities.
  • Support the modernization and transformation of the Global Reporting team's processes with a focus on process reengineering.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with various operational accounting groups to obtain the required information needed to ensure that reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and fulfill requests for SOX compliance audits interacting with both internal and external auditors.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision yet work well within a team-oriented environment.
  • Support Financial Reporting projects as needed.

What you bring

  • Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS)
  • Experience in accounting, financial reporting, or other relevant experience
  • Strong accounting understanding and expertise
  • Strong written documentation and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications or software tools
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work with ambiguous or changing work situations, tasks, assignments

Added bonus if you have

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience working with ERP applications and data transformation engine
  • Public accounting experience
