Toyota's Global Office of the Deputy Chief Risk and Compliance Officer is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Global Compliance Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to refine and drive the vision, mission, and direction for a global compliance program with the goal of ensuring consistency and accountability with global, regional, country and entity-level visibility.
Reporting to the Global Compliance Group Manager for Program Execution, the person in this role will support the Global Office of the Deputy Chief Risk and Compliance Officer objective to lead and manage a global compliance program, coordinating with compliance partners and business leaders globally to develop global standards and advise on practical application and on-going execution.
This position is based in Plano, Texas, and is a global role that reports to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in Japan. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of Plano.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting adoption of compliance risk management program across our global subsidiaries based on defined, risk-assessed strategy, with immediate focus on Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance.
- Design and develop practical communications and training resources for use across global subsidiaries, published via Global Compliance Resource Library, ensuring content responds to and addresses emerging compliance risks.
- Drive timely and effective execution of compliance risk assessments across global subsidiaries through use of defined models via digital Compliance Hub, including identification of risk mitigation activities and ongoing evaluation of control effectiveness through compliance monitoring and audit programs.
- Advise entities in their ongoing operation of local compliance programs, providing tools and guidance to enable entities to efficiently and effectively manage their compliance programs.
- Communicate objectives and purpose of compliance risk management program in accessible manner to educate and build support with business and compliance leaders across global subsidiaries
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Extensive combined experience in audit, law, or comparable compliance experience.
- Working knowledge of financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Outstanding judgment and discretion while handling confidential information and maintaining high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent communications skills - written, verbal, listening, and presentation, including ability to effectively communicate with non-native English speakers and an executive global audience.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Added bonus if you have
- Bachelor's degree or higher specifically in business, finance, or accounting, or a closely related field that is relevant to this position.
- Working knowledge of global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
- Experience in investigating allegations of bribery and corruption.
- Japanese language fluency.
