Who we're looking for

Toyota's North Carolina Battery Plant (TBMNC) Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated General Stores Leader.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the General Stores warehouse function for TBMNC.

Reporting to the Production Control General Stores Manager the person in this role will support the Production Control department's objective to ensure the integrity of TBMNC's supply chain at all times and under all conditions.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the General Stores warehousing team that supplies spare parts, indirect chemicals, direct raw materials, and consumables that support TBMNC operations.
  • Vendor management.
  • Coaching, team member development, and problem solving.
  • KPI management/reporting and FMDS Boards.
  • Contingency/crisis management.
  • Support ideal inventory management of parts/chemicals necessary to keep production lines in operation.
  • Meeting or exceeding Hoshin targets for Production Control/TBMNC.
  • Complete Time Entry and effectively manage all coding and HR issues daily.
  • Understand staffing conditions and adjust accordingly.
  • Understand the line condition and ensure tools/equipment are capable prior to shift start.
  • Shift flexibility to support 24/7 manufacturing operation.

  • Management experience.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication & visualization skills.
  • Ability to create and execute strategic direction.
  • Hoshin execution.
  • Technical problem-solving ability (PDCA, RC/CM, TBP).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using KPIs for goal setting and process management.
  • SAP/Ariba systems experience.

Added bonus if you have

  • Toyota Supplier Management.
  • Problem solving complete through panel (TBP).
  • Battery Manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree.
  • 3 Pillar management / execution experience.
