Who we're looking for

Toyota's Financial Reporting Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Financial Reporting & Consolidations Sr Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the preparation of Toyota North America's annual Audited Financial Statements ("AFS") and the annual audits of our Sales and Manufacturing companies to support our parent company's SEC reporting requirements.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting & Consolidations Manager, the person in this role will support the Financial Reporting department's objective of timely financial close, consolidations and accurate reporting of financial information to the Parent Company (Toyota Motor Corporation).

What you'll be doing

  • Lead key aspects of the close process across North America in support of the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements and the various combinations, consolidations and sub-consolidations
  • Oversee &/or perform the monthly end-to-end consolidation process using BPC (Business Planning & Consolidations), an SAP tool
  • Perform a detailed review of the preparation & analysis of a variety of statutory and management reports
  • Oversee and perform a detailed review of the monthly and quarterly reporting to the parent company
  • Coordinate with our partners in IT and the Center of Excellence on enhancements to BPC consolidations system and reporting, with responsibility to establish requirements and test/approve updates to the system
  • Perform detailed review of account reconciliations and Sox Controls
  • Partner with the Internal Controls team to design effective internal controls and to resolve any deficiencies
  • Support external audit requests
  • Oversee requests and communications with Parent Company regarding Consolidations
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of the AFS

What you bring

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in accounting and financial reporting/auditing
  • Experience in public accounting
  • CPA Certification or working towards Certification
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • A broad knowledge of foreign currency, consolidation, and application of US GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Mainframe/transactional system experience with SAP, BPC.

Bonus if you have:

  • IFRS experience
  • Sarbanes Oxley experience
  • SAP experience
