Toyota's Facilities & Environmental Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Operations Facilities Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Facilities Operations function at the TMMTX site.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations - Facilities Engineering, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective to ensure plant infrastructure and utility systems readiness in to achieve plant production safely and within Takt time.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain 10-year maintenance plan for medium (15kv) and low(480v) voltage switchgear
  • Develop and maintain site wide arc flash standards
  • Inspect all new equipment installations and building modification to ensure electrical code compliance
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for all electrical power systems
  • Will be "Authority Having Jurisdiction" (AHJ) for all electrical installations within the plant
  • Develop and lead electrical switch orders for the safe and coordinated power down of 15kv electrical gear and the safe restoration of power
  • Responsible for tracking special projects budget for items assigned
  • Track and identify electrical spikes in daily operations and problem solve issues and develop countermeasures
  • Will support department's engineering systems including major breakdown investigations, energy Kaizens and KPI tracking
  • Utilize experience in plant planning project management, construction, and building design to ensure projects are designed and built to quality, cost, schedule, and safety KPIs
  • Provide customer satisfaction with proper communication and consensus with customer to support their needs.
  • Prepare and report out detailed project status reports.
  • Participate, conduct and lead engineering studies.
  • Track, analyze and report out non-production energy usage.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering
  • Plant utility systems experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience managing multiple tasks
  • Experience working with skilled trades personnel
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Eco Structure PME, Rockwell Automation
  • Experience making KPI improvements
  • Experience providing comprehensive analysis with specific data/details
  • Experience managing project budgets, writing ringis, holding gate check reviews
  • Experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with the following:

    • Industrial power systems (switchgear, power distribution systems, 480VAC and higher)
    • Controls such as PLC, networking systems, Building Management Systems and/or Variable Frequency Drives

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Master Electrical License or Electrical Journeyman License
  • Familiarity with Eco Structure PME software
  • Familiarity with Power Bi
  • Toyota experience
