Who we're looking for

Toyota's Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCOE) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Sr Manager eCOE.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage the eCOE to drive excellence and innovation. The Sr Manager eCOE is responsible for supporting implementation of SAP for new business ventures, enhancements to enable business process transformation across the organization and oversee daily operational support to ensure system availability and accuracy. This role involves setting strategic direction, overseeing the delivery of SAP solutions, ensuring the application of best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and expertise using SAP, BPC, SAC and Ariba technology solutions.

Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer, the person in this role will drive the eCOE department's objective to create and enforce SAP best practices, standards, and methodologies to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.

What you'll be doing

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop Strategy: Define and implement the strategic vision and objectives for the eCOE to align with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Drive Innovation: Identify opportunities for leveraging SAP technologies to drive business transformation, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide executive level support to Product Owners and the business. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within eCOE operations. Implement changes to optimize performance and deliver greater value.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate and present regular reports on the eCOE's performance, budget, project status, and strategic initiatives to executives, senior management and other stakeholders.

2. Team Management and Development:

  • Lead the eCOE Team: Manage and mentor a team of eight Delivery & Operations Managers responsible for supporting all business users of SAP. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment for the overall team of ~60 team members, consultants and analysts.
  • Partner with OneTech to determine team priorities
  • Talent Development: Support training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the eCOE team. Ensure continuous learning and professional growth.

3. Governance and Best Practices:

  • Governance: Review and prioritize work to ensure highest value to overall organization
  • Establish Standards: Develop and enforce SAP standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality SAP implementations and support.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure SAP solutions comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

4. Stakeholder Management:

  • Primary point of contact for executives, senior management and other key stakeholders regarding all SAP initiatives. Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes effectively.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with other departments and business units to ensure alignment and integration of SAP solutions with broader organizational strategies and goals.
  • Develop joint program roadmap with OneTech to deliver timely, consistent and quality technology solutions.
  • Engage OneTech leadership on risk management, resource optimization, joint prioritization and business needs.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage Budget: Develop and oversee the budget for the eCOE operations and enhancements, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure effective allocation of resources for SAP projects and initiatives, balancing competing priorities and demands.

What you bring

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive experience in SAP implementation, management, or consulting roles, with a proven track record of leading large projects and teams.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a large and diverse team. Proven ability to influence and drive change.
  • Project Management: Expertise in managing large-scale projects across multiple disciplines, including planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of Toyota and SAP modules currently in use. Understanding of integration points and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex issues and make data-driven decisions across all workstreams.

Added bonus if you have

  • Certifications: SAP certifications relevant to the role (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, SAP Certified Technology Associate).
  • Project management certifications e.g., PMP, are highly desirable.
