Who we're looking for

The Toyota Financial Services Cybersecurity Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Strategy and Programs Lead.

Reporting to the Deputy CISO, the person in this role will assist in the design and execution of strategic security initiatives aimed at reaching program maturity and effectiveness goals to protect Toyota and its customers from current and future threats.

This role is located in our Plano, TX headquarters and is hybrid in nature, with a mix of in office days and some days working remotely; this could change in the future based on business needs. Candidates are expected to live within a commutable distance to Plano, TX.

What you'll be doing

The Strategy and Program Lead will work closely with the CISO and his directors to assist in the functional integration of security into a technology environment actively evolving to enable rapid business growth. The candidate will play a key role in formulating security strategy, coordinating, and communicating cross-functionally to achieve objectives.

What you bring

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience
• At least eight (8) or more years of experience in cybersecurity roles
• Prior experience in three or more of the following disciplines: application security, penetration testing, network security, cloud security, identity and access management, security architecture, security engineering, cyber threat intelligence, security governance, risk, and controls (GRC)
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, cloud-native services, and deployment pipelines
• Excellent communication skills capable of effectively delivering complex information to both technical and non-technical business partners

Added bonus if you have

• At least ten (10) or more years of experience in cybersecurity functions
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.)
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity maturity frameworks
• Strong understanding of laws, rules, and regulations relevant to cybersecurity and financial institutions (ex. NYDFS, GLBA, SOX, GDPR, FDIC, FFIEC, etc.)
• Experience working in financial institutions
