Who we're looking for

Toyota's TMNA Body Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Seibi Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to Inspect and confirm new or modified equipment and to prepare that equipment for manufacturing production.

Reporting to the Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Body weld production engineering department's objective to deploy or modify welding equipment to facilitate new model launch and support manufacturing production changes.

What you'll be doing

  • Offline and/or online robot programming
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
  • Prepare and confirm new Body weld equipment at the vendors
  • Support weld machine Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to the start of production
  • Develop equipment countermeasures during setup/trials
  • Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada, and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, and Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays

What you bring

  • Associate technical degree (or higher), or equivalent experience
  • Current SEIBI or Body weld maintenance experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Toyota experience
  • Ability to travel up to 75% at times (including international travel)
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

What you may bring

  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance related field
  • 1+ years of Toyota PE Seibi experience.
  • 3+ years of Automotive experience.
  • Experience with mentoring and/or technical training.
