Who We're Looking For

Toyota's Dealer Engagement and Launch team (SmartPath) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Communications, Training, and Strategy Analyst.

Toyota's SmartPath platform is a complete and seamlessly integrated online and in-store digital retailing solution for Toyota's guests and dealers. SmartPath is an enterprise-wide program that will contribute to a more inspiring, innovative, and exciting Toyota by creating the #1 retail experience for our owners and future Toyota guests. This experience will leverage insights and digital tools and services co-developed with dealers, Toyota Financial Services, the field organization, and our IT department. SmartPath will satisfy the guest's demand for a timely, tailored, and transparent retail experience on-line and in the dealership.

Reporting to the Marketing Strategy & Retail Experience Manager, the Communications, Training, and Strategy Analyst will support the Toyota Retail Transformation enterprise program in the development of training and communication materials to support primarily SmartPath Sales. This role will also provide support for any training and communication-related efforts related to the SmartPath Ecosystem (Service, F&I, Signal).

This position includes some travel to meet with SmartPath business partners and vendors and attend off-site Toyota meetings and industry events.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare presentation materials in support of the Retail Transformation communications strategy.
  • Manage the updates to the Retail Transformation Program Communications Plan.
  • Develop HQ, Dealer, and Field training materials in support of the Retail Transformation Program Training Plan. Manage updates to the Training Plan as required.
  • Present project and program status, issues, and proposals as necessary to various business units and/or Governance bodies.
  • Work with internal Toyota business partners, as well as external agencies, to strategize and develop training, communications and advertising content supporting SmartPath Sales.
  • Assist with overall department administration and project management.
  • Planning, supporting and executing with department events and meetings for field and dealer personnel.
  • Report out on various department initiatives utilizing key performance indicators.
  • Help to plan and execute SmartPath marketing and promotional activities. These activities include the development of in-store POS kits, and display activations at the National Dealer Meeting, the National Automotive Dealer Association (NADA) convention, Retail Transformation Summits, and the development of Tier 2 & 3 (Dealer / National) advertising campaigns.
  • Interface with region and dealer personnel as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, strategy, consumer insight, business planning, communications, or other discipline.
  • Experience in a marketing, training, field operations, vendor management, communications, public relations, or strategic planning within a corporation, research supplier, or agency setting.
  • Experience in the automotive industry desired.
  • Proven ability to work within a team, creating a vision and making progress toward that vision by achieving measurable objectives.
  • Proven ability to combine consumer-based insights with an understanding of the automotive industry (including dealers and field office operations) to create a strategic plan of action and influence organizational change.
  • Ability to collaborate, network, and establish influential relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to explain information in a way that establishes rapport, promotes understanding, persuades others and drives action.
  • Solid understanding of and interest in Toyota's business model, the automotive industry, and the consumer path to purchase, and the key issues facing each today and in the future.
  • Ability to take on projects and learn with minimal direction.
  • Solid understanding of good design, data and planning practices.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Experience working on a large scale, enterprise-wide business transformation program.
  • Experience in a variety of marketing disciplines at Toyota, Lexus, and/or Scion.
  • Previous experience in strategy development, event management, project management and training development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
