Primary Job Accountabilities

Loss Recovery Process:

  • Manages the loss recovery process to ensure timely and efficient recoveries, while handing the NeuAnalytics platform used by recovery vendors.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with loss recovery vendors to discuss results and conduct quarterly business result (QBR) sessions.
  • Tracks service level requirements to ensure recovery vendors meet expected results, while monitoring their compliance with required laws, regulations and VMO requirements.
  • Manages PIF and SIF process for charge-off accounts (letters and titles).
  • Provides training to recovery vendors as needed.
  • Manages all skips charge-off accounts after auction sales to ensure remaining balances are updated and accounts can be sent to the corresponding deficiency collections agencies.
  • Manages oversight of charge-off accounts, ensuring collected amounts are properly archived and interested parties are informed of any increases or decreases in deficiencies.
  • Keeps recoveries KPIs updated and prepares weekly report for management.
  • Recommends loss recovery strategies.
  • Monitors NeuAnalytics to ensure accounts are correctly allocated to agency buckets for collections and negotiate settlements and payment plans when necessary.
  • Identifies trends and patterns with the agencies resulting in not collecting the account or any legal exposure for TCPR.

Remarketing Process:

  • Oversees and manages the resale of recovered vehicles, utilizing auction/online platform to maximize value.
  • Analyzes market trends to determine the best strategies for asset disposition.
  • Assists the Remarketing Supervisor and prepares pricing for vehicles running in auction.
  • Conducts thorough analysis of remarketing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinates regular meetings with repossession vendors to discuss results and perform quarterly business result sessions (QBR).
  • Prepares reports and presentations for senior management on remarketing performance and market conditions.
  • Ensures all recovery and remarketing activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintains accurate records of all transactions and communications related to asset recovery and resale.

Find the Skip Process:

  • In charge of referring all Skip charge-off units thru I-repo within 30 days after the charge off process.
  • Ensures proper bankruptcy, military and any other required scrubs are being done.
  • Ensures the repossession agency is documenting I-repo every week with their findings.
  • Must ensure all accounts are being worked within the required statutes of limitation law and follows all FDCPA rules.

Other responsibilities:

  • Invoice Reconciliation: Monitoring, auditing, and reconciliation of all monthly Remittance, ensuring all invoices are supported, accurate, and compliant with contractual terms twice a month.
  • Identifies and reports compliance risks, gaps in current policies, procedures, regulations and or any other more complex non- routine issue.
  • Supports Collections/Remarketing Supervisor and Manager with other projects.
  • Maintains sense of urgency when dealing with escalated issues while providing the outmost high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains accurate records of all transactions and communications related to asset recovery and resale.
  • Analyzes account characteristics and works with customers and/or vendors to resolve their issues.
  • Participates in process and procedural discussions across multiple functional areas to maintain understanding of current processes.
  • Performs other miscellaneous activities/duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for performing special project to improve process efficiency and performance.
  • Participates in the development of Kaizen projects that directly benefits the Collections department.
  • Satisfactorily completes all mandatory trainings required.

Knowledge and Skills

Education

  • Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS): BA in Business administration, Management, Accounting, Finance related areas.

Experience - Subject Matter Expertise

Required

  • 2-5 years of relevant / progressive work experience (in similar field and/or industry)

Preferred

  • 5-10 years of relevant / progressive work experience (in similar field and/or industry)

Licenses, Certifications & Specialized Skills (if applicable)

Required

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel to develop financial reporting, spreadsheet, and database experience
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and communications skills
  • Strong verbal and written English and Spanish skills
  • Advanced organization, attention to detail, action-oriented skills
  • Knowledgeable on current state, federal compliance policies, procedures, and regulations

Preferred

  • Project management experience
  • Ability to understand, integrate and implement workflow and analytic solutions and directives as they become available

Work schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. In some instances, working overtime and during holidays is required.

This position is based out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This position does not offer relocation assistance.
