Toyota's Environmental and Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Environmental Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Environmental and Facilities Operations function at the Plant site.
Reporting to the Environmental and Facilities Operations Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities Department's objective to protect the environment, to ensure compliance with all air, water, and waste regulations, and to ensure conformance to Toyota Environmental policies and procedures. The role of this position is flexible and will support the site environmental program as needed. It will also include support needed to meet Toyota's Challenge 2050 targets, make Toyota West Virginia a global Environmental Leader, and improve Plant's cost competitiveness.
What you'll be doing
- Manage environmental water treatment, waste management and ISO 14001 programs for the site
- Will support other environmental activities including utility usage reporting, air emissions and stack testing, energy reduction, and wildlife & community activities.
- Manage programs to maintain compliance with Corporate and departmental internal requirements
- Managing, maintaining, and improving site environmental audit programs.
- Develop effective reports & presentation to communicate environmental status and challenges.
- Perform floor audits for waste locations and emissions controls.
- Ability to provide problem solving analysis and develop and implement effective countermeasures for problems.
- Lead problem solving groups that include members from production and support.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through implementation.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Science field or equivalent professional experience of a minimum 7 yrs.
- 2 years of working knowledge of environmental regulations - RCRA, SPCC, GPP, NPDES.
- 2 years of experience in managing environmental programs such as air, water and waste in an industrial setting.
- 1 year of working knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management system.
- Expert Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
What you may bring
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Certification.
- Experience coordinating projects with internal plant personnel, outside contractors and vendors.
- Experience preparing documents and visual presentations, presentation skills, and gaining approval of project proposals.
- Experience using PowerBi and/or database systems.
