This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because:
You are a subject matter expert in understanding of tax accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting. You are passionate about be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of tax provisions, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, and supporting the tax-related financial reporting process. In any given day, you will work closely with the finance and accounting teams, as well as external auditors and tax advisors, to ensure accurate and timely tax provision calculations and disclosures. You're detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and have strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities. A sense of humor is a plus!
A Day in the Life:
Tax Provision Preparation:
- Manage the preparation and review of the company's tax provisions, including current and deferred taxes, for quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and other relevant tax regulations.
Financial Reporting:
- Support the accurate reporting of tax-related financial information in the company's financial statements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax provisions into overall financial reporting processes.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Tax Planning and Strategy:
- Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor junior tax team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
External Relations:
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to address tax-related issues and ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist in managing relationships with tax authorities and representing the company in tax audits and disputes.

To Land This Role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Taxation or JD) is a plus.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in tax accounting and compliance, with a focus on tax provisions.
- Experience within a large corporation or a Big Four accounting firm is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of ASC 740 and other relevant tax regulations.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA required.
- Proficiency in Corptax Provision software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 140,000.00 USD - 160,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
