You have an entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in fashion, culture and current trends. As the Senior Buyer for Handbags and SLGs, you will be responsible for strategically driving the success of full-price store business. You're passionate about product and resourceful with the ability to prioritize and anticipate business needs and requests. You have a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational, written, and communication skills, and the ability to work well with partners.
A Day in the Life:
As the Senior Buyer, you will develop and execute buy and investment strategies for Full Price stores in North America.
The typical day is... atypical. You will be building the product assortment during markets and identifying future product opportunities, trends, and class-level offerings to drive sales. You will analyze and hindsight with actions to drive business on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, end-of-season basis, and to make informed future buying decisions and product action plans.
Throughout the year, you will participate on store visits to key markets to present product knowledge to the field team and gain an understanding of the local market to support future product tiering strategies and opportunities. You enjoy staying attuned to emerging fashion trends, consumer insights, and market dynamics to make thoughtful and informed decisions on assortment strategy, ensuring a curated offering that resonates with our brand vision and customer expectations. You'll partner with Global Merchandising team to brief North America specific product needs, including exclusives and promotional needs to manage product lifecycle and hit financial goals.
You are a big-picture thinker who is able to dig into the details and ask questions to understand the why behind your business. No two days will be the same, but the consistent thread is that you'll be working with an amazing team who share your passion for excellence.
To Land This Role:
- 5-7+ years of buying experience, preferably in handbags, with a proven track record demonstrating a strategic mindset and translating business goals into actionable plans.
- Ability to develop, execute, and communicate product strategies to hit financial targets.
- Ability to analyze & hindsight the business on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to inform future buying decisions and product action plans.
- Make informed and strategic assortment buys based on tiering and brand strategies along with financial objectives.
- Communicate assortment and buy strategies to leadership.
- Build effective cross-functional partnerships with team members in Global Merchandising, Planning, Allocations, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations.
- Become the expert in the business needs and maintain open communication with cross-functional partners in Global Merchandising, Global Planning, Store Ops, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising during market to influence store execution that supports category strategies. Work with visual in-season to adapt presentations based on current trends.
- Experience training, developing, and retaining both direct and indirect reports, with a minimum of 3 years managing a direct report
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong presentation skills with ability to influence leadership
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 135,000.00 USD - 150,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
