About the Team
The North America Business Marketing (NABM) team within Global Business Marketing is looking for a Vertical Marketing Manager to support strategic B2B verticalized marketing efforts for the US Commerce market. Core responsibilities include to strategize, plan, execute and report on vertical marketing efforts including content/messaging, events, campaigns and scaled resources.
This role will partner closely with marketing solutions, sales, product solutions, integrated marcoms, studio and other cross-functional stakeholders in establishing relevant messaging and experiences tailored for the vertical, to drive adoption of TikTok's advertising solutions.
This role will directly report to the Commerce/Agency Business Marketing Lead and support the US business. The ideal candidate is an expert in their industry, versatile marketer with a strategic mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience developing strategic insights that can be developed into marketing programs across channels.
This position will focus and support one of these Commerce verticals: 1) Beauty & Personal Care 2) Big Box & Home Care.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning | Bring and maintain a deep understanding of specific Commerce verticals, define strategic points of view and translate them into marketing opportunities, scaled narratives and marketing efforts plans and briefs
- Provide a strong POV on industry opportunities, vertical audience, seasonality and landscape and TikTok's opportunity therein
- Utilize knowledge of the media buying cycle and industry dynamics to help identify opportunities and anticipate barriers for the vertical
- Content + Insights | Build innovative, forward-looking industry narratives, playbooks and messaging frameworks that speak to the challenges and needs of clients and agencies
- Surface trends and collaborate with Marketing Science to provide research-backed insights to our teams and clients
- Collaborate with global marketing partners to adapt core narratives into vertical and regionally impactful resources and scale insights to other regions
- Develop thought leadership narratives that are integrated into Key Account client meetings, vertical events and client summits
- Partner with account teams and XFNs to identify and produce case studies
- Educate and inspire sales partners to utilize key messaging and sales enablement materials
- GTM | Collaborate with marketing and XFN leadership to develop and execute marketing activations that grow TikTok's brand and educate the vertical market at scale to influence revenue growth and product adoption.
- Author compelling, strategic tactical briefs that provide clarity and focus for marketing teams including marcomms, event studio, and external agency partners
- Lead and collaborate with XFN and marketing teams to execute activations, ensuring message pull-through and business success. Activations may include sponsored content, thought leadership, social/digital campaigns, owned and third-party events and summits.
- Prioritize efforts that will have greatest impact for the business, and report back on results and learnings for the future
- PARTNER | Be a strategic partner to specific Commerce vertical teams across marketing, sales and product leaders
- Multi-task across simultaneous projects and deadlines, collaborating with appropriate team members.
- Identify winning strategies and scale the insights to uncover greater opportunities for sales, product, and global marketing teams
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing and/or strategy roles, with a portfolio of relevant work demonstrating success in the B2B or advertising space.
- Direct experience in specific Commerce verticals with demonstrated understanding of industry trends, key clients within the vertical, relevant event and publisher partners in the industry, and vertical advertising/marketing ecosystem.
- Strong communication skills, including writing (i.e. building compelling and clear narratives or content) and stakeholder and executive management.
- Proven track record of navigating cross-functional teams and matrixed org structure to achieve goals.
- Highly collaborative, team player, strong influencer and relationship builder.
- Strategic mindset, with strong ability to quickly synthesize information, identify patterns, achieve clarity, and prioritize based on how to achieve greatest impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ad product/product solutions experience.
- Tech and entertainment industry experience.
- Content production/storytelling/writing.
- Experience working with sales and brand/agency clients.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $106000 - $170000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
