About the Team
As the window of TikTok's business services, our TikTok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. We want to ease and inspire clients to achieve their goals, explore more possibilities, and create value with TikTok. As a team member here, you will be able to utilize mixed methods to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to meet business needs.
Our core design team includes researchers, product designers, and UX writers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work with collaborative cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products' unique capabilities and personalities.

In this role, you will:
1. Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences
2. Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing)
3. Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
4. Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
5. Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. At least 3 years of experience working in UX Research
2. Experience utilizing various research design methods (i.e. usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
3. Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting
4. Ability to take initiative and ownership of the program with an entrepreneurial mindset
5. Proven ability to lead creative projects, solve complex problems using data, and inspire the team to think outside the box
6. Experienced or interested in monetization products and product design processes
7. Passionate about contributing and building an outstanding and industry-leading design community
Preferred Qualifications
1. Passionate about TikTok products and user experience
2. Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs
3. Comfortable dealing with conflicts, solving ambiguous and open-ended problems independently
4. Collaborative, establish relationships quickly, and have experience influencing and working with multiple cross-functional partners, including leaders
5. Striving to be a subject matter expert in your space and consistently improving the design processes and operations
6. Excellent in handling challenging and dynamic changing environments
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $152400 - $282933 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
