About Trust and Safety
Trust and Safety Operations a pivotal team within U.S. Data Security. We strive to enable TikTok to become the most trusted and secure platform in the US through operational excellence in content moderation via innovations in technology, optimization in processes and investment in people. We ensure that we enforce our policies based on our community guidelines and we take appropriate actions in a timely manner to minimize risks on our platform to our users and advertisers.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver effective training sessions for leaders and moderators, ensuring learning outcomes meet business needs.
- Communicate frequently and effectively with key stakeholders to align training initiatives with business goals on projects and training initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with global training teams and internal/external partners to design and implement training solutions.
- Update, and maintain training curriculum and SOPs as required.
- Translate complex policy updates into easy-to-understand learning materials and ensure alignment with Content Moderation.
- Partner with the Quality team to identify performance gaps and design targeted training strategies to improve quality across locations.
- Utilize adult learning principles to choose appropriate training media, methodologies, and formats (e.g., live sessions, eLearning, blended learning).
- Develop and review training materials such as knowledge checks, quizzes, and assessments to evaluate learner progress and outcomes.
- Be the subject matter expert for internal lines of business or products, providing core training support and expertise.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness.
- Regularly collaborate with the Policy team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of training on policy changes.
- Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
Our Operations team performs a critical function that supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content. Content that this person interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of practical experience in Learning and Development or Training Delivery, delivering large-scale training programs to diverse audiences.
- 3+ years of training experience in a content moderation environment, Customer Support, or BPO/Vendor operations.
- Advanced computer and internet skills
- Experience in working in an Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or other Learning Development authoring tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross functional teams across different time zones and cultures.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to support moderation locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, intercultural collaboration, and providing feedback.
- Solid understanding of adult learning concepts and methodologies.
- Proven experience managing multiple training projects independently from initiation to delivery.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
