We are looking for passionate and talented people to join our product and operations team, to build an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure and intuitive for our users and brands.
Our team is part of the Merchant Ecosystem Development team which focuses on growth and improvement of seller/customer experience on TikTok E-Commerce Platform in Malaysia.
This role will be responsible for leading & managing the team's projects & key initiatives, which are led by project owners and cross functional leaders in their respective domains of payments, logistics & aftersales & other aspects which relate to customer experiences of the platform.
The scope will encompass initiating & evaluating proposals from project owners, setting standards for performance and working with the owners to ensure business initiatives meet budget & return requirements.
A suitable candidate will need to have the ability to manage working with multiple cross function stakeholders, and teams to ensure projects & initiatives can be executed successfully.
Responsibilities
- Organize, lead and coordinate cross-departmental resources to define and support business growth activities.
- Analyze & identify pain points & opportunities in collaboration with our teams in Southeast Asia to conduct external analysis of market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive positions (e.g. market segmentation and opportunity sizing) to derive findings and recommendations & strategize execution accordingly.
- Evaluate proposals & initiatives of project owners, and category managers to ensure necessary budget, returns requirements, and business rationales are met
- Manage project planning, reporting, and promotion. This includes but is not limited to promoting projects, monitoring project progress, managing targets and budgets, controlling budget progress, and reviewing project results. Projects are subject to business requirements.
- Collaborate with other functional teams to promote the optimization of governance, strategy, data and product teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail, affinity with numbers, logical and problem solving skills and data-driven thinking with the capability of distilling information for insights & actions, expert on Excel & SQL.
- Having project management and stakeholder management skills, with experience in driving & communicating complex strategies, & collaborating cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Eager to learn and always up to take on new challenges. Experience in fast-changing working environments is strongly preferred.
- Open to flexible working arrangement outside of regular working hours per business requirements, and open to business travels.
- BS/MS degree in business and/or marketing related fields
- E-commerce experience with understanding of performance metrics, and industry insights
