About the Team
The E-commerce Governance and Experience team is a global group dedicated to making our marketplace a safe, reliable, and high-quality environment for all users, sellers, and creators. Our work focuses on establishing policies, systems, and standards to maintain an excellent experience across the platform.
The Public Relations & Social Media Program Manager will focus on social media sentiment and be able to identify moments where we can highlight a positive merchant, creator or shopper story. The role will shape and maintain positive relationships between our organization and key stakeholders, and develop tools and processes to identify trends across the social media landscape. They will ensure that the social rhythm of business supports our key objectives while establishing a cadence in communication to discuss set policies, reporting on experience concerns with internal policy teams and mitigating risk, bringing users to the forefront of the conversation among all stakeholders to continuously improve.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic programs and recommendations to enhance TikTok shop's visibility and reputation.
- Identify compelling narratives and work closely with social and communication teams to effectively amplify key messages.
- Host events and identify key public relations moments; coordinate press events, conferences, and interviews to maximize media exposure and engagement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with communications, legal, marketing and other teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
- Measure and analyze program effectiveness using metrics such as media impressions, audience reach, and sentiment analysis to inform future strategies and initiatives.
- Analyze community and social engagement data and customer trends to make recommendations and plans for eliminating user painpoints. Present findings to senior leadership, business partners and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of a social listening program and build strategic relationships with global partners to drive team specific goals and improvement plans.
- Coordinate the strategic development and optimization of social listening tools and software to scale and automate team efficiency.
- Develop and maintain quality, confidence, and accuracy processes to ensure team output and processes are optimized.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft messages for various audiences and channels.
- Proficiency in managing Public Relations campaigns and projects, from strategy development to execution and evaluation.
- Ability to work with data and turn it into actionable insights
- Experience with Excel and reporting. Ability to analyze data and find business recommendations and opportunities from findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, organized and interested in learning about and experimenting with new online social media tools and processes.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $111466 - $206171 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
