E-commerce's Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. We are looking for a Policy Operations & GTM Engagement Lead to join our team to help develop and deliver our US policy GTM programs.
This person will be responsible for leading a lean team of senior policy and comms specialists, and driving the development, quality assurance, and strategic communication of policies for the policy GTM process. You will play a critical role in designing differentiated communication strategies to effectively reach and educate diverse internal stakeholders and external seller and creator communities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, PR, and Product and Operations teams, to ensure that all policies are aligned with US regional and international laws, thereby mitigating potential legal risks.
What You'll Do
- Lead the rigorous composition and documentation of policies, adhering to and continuously improving GNE's writing quality standards and legal compliance requirements. Establish differentiated writing strategies for various document and outreach types (e.g., L1, L2, Notifications, Violation Messages, etc.)
- Craft effective communication strategies tailored to educate users on GNE programs, policy requirements, and changes, ensuring clarity and alignment with GNE quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Business Operations, Product, and Experience teams to optimize outreach channels, ensuring maximum impact and engagement across diverse audiences
- Leverage data and market research to understand varying user profiles and preferences, adapting communication strategies accordingly to enhance effectiveness and relevance
- Demonstrate thought leadership by identifying potential risks and opportunities in policy development, proactively sharing insights and recommendations with business leaders to inform decision-making
- Lead and mentor a team of senior specialists, providing guidance, cultivating talent, and designing career development opportunities to enhance team performance and professional growth
Qualifications
Who We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Legal Studies, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in policy development, operations, or communications, ideally in legal, compliance, or tech sectors.
- Strong writing, editing, and attention to detail skills.
- Proven ability to manage communication strategies and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-driven, analytical, and capable of conducting audits and quality assessments in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- International management experience
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and governance requirements
- Experience in project management and process improvement
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $139650 - $256500 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
