The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cybersecurity and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. We're seeking a dynamic and experienced security leader to join our team as a Security Business Officer. This role is a key position in connecting our security operations and business objectives to ensure robust protection of TikTok while driving strategic growth. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader who can balance security imperatives with business objectives, fostering a culture of security awareness and excellence across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Management and Risk Oversight
- Serve as the primary security point of contact across assigned business value chains
- Partner closely with senior business leaders to align security initiatives with organizational goals
- Implement and manage processes for comprehensive documentation throughout the lifecycle of business programs
- Lead executive-level meetings, facilitating informed decision-making for risk management and escalation
- Work with teams to perform technical validation and enhance security practices across the organization
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement high priority strategies aligned with our GSO Maturity Framework
- Drive tactical execution to achieve quarterly OKRs
- Adapt strategies and tactical execution to meet evolving market and regional requirements
- Integrate security practices with business objectives
- Demonstrate robust security measures for all market requirements
Regulatory and Market Compliance
- Stay on top of market-specific and regional security requirements and drive cross-functional action
- Work with stakeholders to track and escalate corporate compliance measures into the SDLC to ensure market readiness
Trusted Advocacy
- Write compelling business cases for priority projects along with corresponding program planning
- Track delivery, validate outcomes, and report progress to senior leadership
Measurable Outcomes
- Track metrics to measure security maturity and OKR achievement
- Utilize structured analytic techniques to inform deliverables
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying complex security concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in high-stakes situations
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management
- Proficiency in security frameworks and best practices
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams
- Experience driving technical programs from scoping to delivery at scale
- Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in security, with a proven track record in leadership roles for product security
- Experience working for a company with a global footprint
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $199800 - $347400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
