1. Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of multimedia designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across various design skill sets;
2. Conduct user research to understand users' preferences, behaviors, and pain points. Develop and implement tools (mostly gift animations) to help live streamers create better experiences and delight their audiences;
3. Play an active role in communicating strategic decisions around the future direction of LIVE business;
4. Generate content-focused insights that both fuel ideation and product strategy;
5. Lead a partnership with product managers, operations, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch;
6. Set design standards, conduct regular reviews, and implement quality control processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects;
7. Set clear expectations and goals for direct reports and collective teams while holding individuals and teams accountable for success. Provide clear, actionable feedback and support to develop and grow individuals.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
1. 5 years of experience in management and experience with digital content strategy, visual media, production, and relevant fields;
2. Experience as a LIVE streamer or spending money on LIVE, with a strong interest in the LIVE business;
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing monetization strategies, understanding basic business models, and how design can contribute;
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
5. Familiar with production tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite/Figma/Cinema 4D/Blender, etc.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience in NFT, metaverse, virtual goods, gaming industry, film/commercial production, or any end-to-end design;
2. Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to connect with people through media;
3. Self-motivated and proactive with a passion for continuous learning and improvement;
4. Strong communication and presentation skills, especially with those from diverse cultural backgrounds;
5. Understanding of AI and new technologies' benefits for production;
6. Experience with user research methodologies, data analysis, and interpreting data and user feedback to provide actionable insights;
7. Understanding how virtual goods, digital products, or the gaming industry works;
8. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to solve problems through organizational strategies;
