About the Team
The Supply Chain and Logistics team is vital in ensuring a robust, efficient infrastructure that drives business growth and enables global connection. They provide planning guidance and logistics strategy assistance to existing businesses, helping them optimize their operational efficiency.
The e-commerce logistics procurement team is looking for a senior manager to join the team, responsible for the overall procurement strategy in Europe.
What you'll do:
Strategic Sourcing
- Execute ongoing purchasing activities within assigned scope, drive the creation and oversee the implementation of communication plans, and develop implementation strategy, responsibility assignments and timeline.
- Ability to effectively present and communicate compelling business cases and commodity strategies to key leadership and management.
- Demonstrate functional expertise in digital RFP (Request for Proposal), RFQ (Request for Quotation), RFI (Request for Information) standards and processes.
- Able to analyze markets closely to ensure below or at market pricing and identify supplier differentiations.
- Able to manage multiple suppliers against cost, quality standard and delivery target.
Supplier Management
- Develop plans and conduct supplier evaluation and negotiation to gain supplier commitment.
- Develop the logistical model for purchasing which will provide the overall lowest landed cost.
- Ensure successful processing of all procurement activities, which includes resolving issues and ensuring seamless maintenance of vendor accounts, and purchase orders/requisitions.
- Able to manage multiple suppliers against cost, quality standard and delivery target.
- Assess current state business processes and makes recommendations to standardize and optimize opportunities.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to arrive at best practices.
- Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and optimize processes and programs that enable the operations to scale.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above, expertise level of experience in e-commerce logistics procurement and logistics fulfillment procurement, experience in an international e-commerce platform is preferred;
- Solid leadership experience, previously managed a medium-sized team in Europe;
- Excellent business negotiation and communication skills, cross-team collaboration skills.
- Have a record of completing good transactions and have judgment on key terms of the contract
- Familiar with the local-to-local and cross-border logistics resources in Europe;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or other relevant fields, Master or MBA degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with 3+ years of direct procurement experience in the logistics industry focused on strategic sourcing, commodities, supplier qualification, negotiations, contracting, contract management and supply management is preferred.
