As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Europe, Japan and South Korea. Now we are looking for experts in image pipeline to join us to build our AR/VR imaging team.
PICO is a leading VR/AR platform with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. PICO is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare. Now we are seeking experts to pioneer the integration of VR/AR technologies with humanoid robotics, one of today's most dynamic and rapidly evolving fields.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12-24 weeks and begins in May/June 2025 or August/September 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following start dates below:

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in robot teleoperation and human-robot interaction.
- Develop and evaluate novel control schemes for robotic systems using VR interfaces.
- Implement and test integration of various input devices (gloves, motion trackers) for dexterous manipulation.
- Design and optimize stereo vision systems for enhanced spatial awareness.
- Prototype VR applications using Unity for robot teleoperation.
- Conduct user studies and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on system integration.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Robotics, Computer Science, Human-Robot Interaction, HCI, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of stereo imaging principles, real-time controls, inverse kinematics, forward kinematics, and dynamics.
- Solid background in human-robot interaction research.
- Proficient programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with Unity engine (C#) and VR/MR development.
- Knowledge of streaming protocols and network programming.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Published research in teleoperation, HRI, or related fields.
- Experience with teleoperation systems.
- Expertise in real-time systems optimization.
- Experience with motion tracking and gesture recognition systems.
- Experience with camera and sensor integrations.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2.
- Experience with serial communications such as RS485, I2C or UART.
- Passionate about humanoid robots.
