We are looking for strong software engineers who are excited to grow their business understanding, build highly scalable and reliable software, and partner across disciplines with global teams, in pursuit of excellence.
Given the fast growth of TikTok in the world, we are working on building next-generation ads integrity system for TikTok Ads. We are seeking seasoned Software Engineers at all levels who can help us anticipate, predict potential threats, and build systems to protect against these threats. You will have a chance to work with a fully globalized team made up of great engineering talents in different countries, and work closely with cross-functional teams to build safe and trusted connections between users, businesses, and TikTok.
We are seeking tech lead software engineers who will lead the workstream for building integrity solution for Tiktok business, including modern user-centric applications and knowledge base systems with cutting edge technologies. You will also involve in comprehensive domain knowledge in ads moderation, risk control and policy. Understanding fraud, risk, quality control, and online advertising domain knowledge is a plus, but experience of building large-scale user-facing systems is most critical.
What You'll Do
• Build highly scalable systems and strategy including ad fraud detection, risk control, ads integrity systems to improve TikTok user's experiences with ads across the platform.
• Collaborate with strategy teams, product managers, policy teams, and other key stakeholders to define products and drive initiatives from an engineering viewpoint.
• Contribute to the success of a rapidly growing and evolving organization with speediness and quality.
Qualifications
- MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant majors with 7+ years of work experience,and 2+ years of experience managing or technically leading a software engineering team.
- Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in general-purpose programming languages
- Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.
- Extensive knowledge of modern software tech stack, including large-scale backend, data pipeline, machine learning.
- Strong written/verbal communication and excellent teamwork skills; flexible and self-starter.
- Experienced in the design and implementation of integrity solutions, systems, and mechanisms

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $210000 - $358000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
