The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. The growth engineering team owns the mission to drive the growth of TikTok Shop customers and revenues. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, growth marketers, and product managers to design, implement, and optimize growth initiatives through a combination of product-led and data-driven growth strategies. Responsibilities:
- Build customer-facing product features, platforms, and tools to drive TikTok Shop customer acquisition, engagement, and retention directly, and facilitate the iteration efficiency of growth initiatives.
- Closely collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, product managers, and growth marketers to identify growth opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement tracking and attribution systems and leverage A/B experiments to measure the efficacy of growth initiatives and guide the direction of optimizations.
- Build robust engineering systems that can support the growth of customers to the scale of TikTok user base.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors/experience.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, proficient in at least one coding language, including but not limited to Go, Javascript, Java, C++.
- Good understanding of business, technical abstraction and system module design.
- Have large-scale website architecture experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience with E-Commerce products, Monetization/Ads products, User Growth products (paid acquisition, incentives, lifecycle management, SEO/SEM, affiliate marketing, etc.), and data-driven growth strategies, preferably with track records in developing one or multiple relevant initiatives from 0 to 1 to 10.
- 7+ years of related working experience with 1+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Great to have hybrid cross-platform development experience.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212800 - $389500 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
