About
The Tax Team at TikTok helps ensure that our company and all our products are tax compliant throughout different regions and countries. Also, the Tax Team provides support to internal requests and works with multiple different stakeholders to support product and business launches and new features.

About the role
We are seeking a experienced tax professional focused on supporting the business with tax planning initiatives in our Spanish Speaking Latin America portfolio (i.e., Colombia, Argentina, Chile, etc.), based out of Mexico City. This person should be able to work well with cross-border colleagues and cross-functional teams and assist with the management and ownership of the end-to-end projects for tax planning in Spanish Speaking Latin America. The successful candidate will be a highly driven, focused individual who can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.

Responsibilities
1. Propose or initiate new tax planning projects or provide tax advice to ongoing initiatives;
2. Manage Tax Outside Counseling in multiple jurisdictions in Spanish Speaking Latin America;
3. Work well with Tax Compliance and Transfer Pricing partners, helping to ensure the company keeps its tax-compliant status;
4. Collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders, especially within the Finance Team;
5. Respond to internal tax inquiries of high complexity and timely assist business partners with tax issues;
6. Understand and assess legislative developments that may impact the Tax Team in multiple jurisdictions in Spanish Speaking Latin America;
7, Monitor and analyze tax judicial and administrative precedents that impact the company's operations and financial positions in multiple jurisdictions in Spanish Speaking Latin America;
8. Report tax routines and issues to the LATAM Tax Team;
9. Provide special support to inquiries of Tax Teams from other jurisdictions when necessary, including Headquarters.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
1. Experience in large Multinational Corporations and/or a Big 4 firms with a bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Law;
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
3. Multinational tax knowledge and analytical skills;
4. Effective oral and written communication skills;
5. Strong problem-solving and time management skills;
6. Team Player and ""Hands On"" profile;
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and diversified environment;
8. Feels comfortable working in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with tax audits in Spanish Speaking Latin America;
2. Transfer Pricing experience is a plus;
3. Accounting or Law certification.
4. Fluency in Spanish and advanced English due to client management in this region
