Responsibilities
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed services and infrastructures. As a site reliability engineer in the data platform area, you will have the opportunity to manage the services and infrastructures in one of the largest data plaforms in the world. You'll need to ensure the data, services and infrastructures are reliable, fault-tolerant, efficiently scalable and cost-effective. You'll also have the opportunity to design, build and deliver all kinds of systems as a software engineer.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure reliable, fault-tolerant, efficiently scalable and cost-effective data, services and infrastructures
• Establish solid design and best engineering practice for engineers as well as non-technical people
• Design and build data transformations efficiently and reliably for different purposes (e.g. reporting, growth analysis, multi-dimensional analysis)
• Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust and extensible big data systems that support core products and business

- Query Engine that support adhoc/interactive queries and batch pipelines
- Logging & Ingestion Infra that logs and ingests large amount of data in realtime
- Experimentation Platform that supports the A/B testing for all product and feature launches
- Workflow Management Platform that programmatically authors, schedules and monitors workflows such as streaming and batch tasks
- Distributed Cache that accelerates compute
- Various data products such as data visualization tool, user behaviour analysis tool, user profiling tool
- Data Engineering that support business products
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving software or systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience writing code in Java, Go, Python or a similar language
- Experience with algorithms ,data structures, complexity analysis and software design
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge about a variety of strategies for ingesting, modeling, processing, and persisting data, ETL design and dimensional modeling.
- Familiarity with running production grade services at scale and understanding cloud native technologies and networking
- Experience developing tools and APIs to reduce human interaction with systems and applications using a variety of coding and scripting standards
- Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems is a plus (Hadoop, M/R, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink or comparable solutions)
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137750 - $237500 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
