Team Introduction
The Global Product & RD team is building up core TikTok products to ensure TikTok deliver the best product experience to all of our users, build the most attractive features to help users enjoy their time on TikTok, earn trust in privacy protection, and more.
The Global Product team is growing exponentially. The business lines are ranging from Monetization Technology, Data, Machine Learning, System, Infrastructure, AR Effects, Security Technology and more.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving the growth of TikTok direct messaging products, with a focus on improving the messaging experience for TikTok businesses and creators
- Develop comprehensive product roadmap in the focus area, align with stakeholders, and work with cross-functional teams to execute the product plans end to end

- Define and establish key success metrics and product impact, ensuring a data-driven approach to product management
- Set up best practice in the way of working with teams including Algo, Data Science, UX and RD, across different timezones, to ensure highly effective collaborations
- Deliver a world-class business messaging experience to help TikTok business succeed on the platform
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience as a product manager working on B2C products
- Strong collaboration skills, managing multiple stakeholders in different timezones. Building trusted relationships is important. You should set up processes to ensure that things move on time, and there are no communication gaps
- Hands-on experience doing data analysis to identify user needs and current issues
- User-centric, pay extra attention to UX designs to ensure the best experience for our users
- Have end-to-end product launch experience collaborating with marketers, account managers, and partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience in direct messaging or creator experience
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $180000 - $312000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
