About the team
TikTok's User & Creator Product (UCP) team comprises of various cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, recommendation/algorithm, product, marketing, and operations, that adopt a data-driven approach to foster growth of creators and content. Our team collaborates closely to assist creators worldwide in expressing their creativity, expanding their following, and helping creators to monetize their content and build careers. We strive to improve our creator's experience on our platform while growing overall content diversity in the TikTok ecosystem.
As part of the UCP, our team of engineers is responsible for develop innovative tools that cater to the diverse needs of our creators on TikTok. We are responsible for creating a range of products, including the web-based Creator Center(https://www.tiktok.com/creator-center), web-based video creation and editing tools, as well as a suite of innovative creator tools integrated within the TikTok mobile app. Our team also develops creator analytics tools, AI-powered inspiration tools, creator educational products, and various new products in planning. We are committed to continuously expanding our product offerings to ensure that our creators and content ecosystem continue to thrive.

As a member of TikTok User & Creator Product team, you will:
- Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver state of the art user experience in the above products mentioned;
- Build world-class frontends, which combine usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability;
- Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality;
- Learn and understand how TikTok products work and help build end-to-end solutions;
- Learn and grow from working with great colleagues and taking on challenges;
- Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, ES5/6, CSS, and various layouts;
- Understanding of component-based development ideas, familiarity with React, Angular, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library / framework;
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related major;
- 5+ years of industry experience in a software development environment;
- Experience in solving CSS/JS multi-browser compatibility problems and front-end performance optimization;
- Understanding of construction and continuous integration, familiarity with at least one construction tool;
- Understanding of back-end technologies and databases is a plus.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
