The TikTok Eng - PGC Team strives to enrich the TikTok experience by delivering a variety of user and creator-facing products. Our mission is to push the boundaries of the UGC video platform by integrating professional video content and cultivating a more informative community. Key areas in this domain include both user-facing and creator-facing features. For user-facing features, examples include long video playback capabilities, playlists, and fullscreen mode. On the creator-facing side, we offer a dedicated app called TikTok Studio, a comprehensive tool for creators to find inspiration, create, and manage their videos.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, and other engineering teams to define a world-class consumption and creation experience.
• Maintain and continuously improve TikTok Studio's frameworks and architecture.
• Build reusable software components with robust code and clear documentation, delivering high-quality work.
• Analyze and optimize mobile applications for quality and performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
• Proficient in Java or Kotlin, strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of Android platforms.
• Solid knowledge of multi-threading, data structure, operating system and network. Solid understanding of Android UI technology principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to work in large and complex code bases.
• Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high quality work on a tight schedule.
• An effective communicator with excellent collaborative skills, strong self motivation and great problem solving skills.
• Willing to take up challenges and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors.
• 5+ years of Android native development experience.
• Experience of working in cross-regional teams.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
