The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
About the Team
The Search Operations team aims to improve search user experience, contribute significant DAU impact to the products and drive for increase in traffic and GMV.
Search recommendation is the shortcut to link queries to users through personalized recommendation strategy and algorithm. We endeavor to increase users' recognition and online traffic of TikTok search by closely working with product management and R&D teams, policy managers as well as data delivery teams to cover the whole operation process, including launching new markets, opening new portals, expanding the search candidate pool, optimizing recommendation strategies, stimulating search engagement and improving search user experience globally.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
What will I be doing?
- Focus on content quality and safety based on business requirements in accordance with moderation standard documents
- Ensure key targets such as productivity, accuracy, efficiency, quality and latency are met in the moderation of search recommendation features
- Find potential risks in daily work and proactively suggest problem solutions
- Support policy training, policy localization and provide guideline clarifications to ensure better understanding for in-house team members and BPO stakeholders
- Conduct quality inspection and calibration meetings in the appeal process to ensure the delivery quality and performance improvement in order to achieve the project targets
- Work closely with POC and relevant stakeholders to provide feedback on data quality/SOP/policy/guideline and ensure overall project success
- Perform other ad-hoc duties in relation to search recommendation features as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above
- About 2 years work experience, preferably in QA/data analysis/project management
- Proficient Korean as a working language, proficient English skills at all levels (reading, writing, listening, speaking) for daily communication
- Knowledge about search engines, familiarity with social media platforms. Sound judgement in handling ambiguous cases and ability to provide timely feedback
- Able to work on Shift working hours and working days (weekends and public holidays included)
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in search operations area
- Knowledge of search trending related businesses
- Team management experience
- Overseas work/training experience or in a multi-cultural/-lingual environment
- QA and quality improvement experience, familiarity with RCA and data analysis, excellent attention to detail, precision and accuracy
