Nestled within TikTok's Flow AI Organization, the Flow Security team stands as a beacon of innovation, leveraging cutting-edge Large Language Model (LLM) technology to fortify the digital fortress of TikTok's global products and infrastructures. Tasked with constructing, implementing, and sustaining secure frameworks, the team pioneers a new frontier in AI for Infosec Research, inviting talented individuals with a background in LLM to join through the student researcher program. This intern will learn about the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions to support our Infosec initiatives during the Intern period.

Responsibilities:
1. Spearhead in-depth research and investigation on latest generative AI technologyto support our Infosec initiatives.

2. Innovate algorithms, models, solutions to detect and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities across endpoints and cloud

3. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to seamlessly embed the developed AI solutions, particularly tailored to LLM advancements, into both existing and emerging products, ensuring robust protection and user safety.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:
1. Ph.D. students in Computer Science with the specific focus on AI or related fields. Master student with a very strong background in relevant fields will also be considered.
2. Good understanding on recent deep learning models/algorithms/techniques, such as Transformer/BERT/GNN.
3. Hands-on experience on model design and implementation, pretraining, fine-tuneing, performance evaluation.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively about complex challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Hands-on experience in developing, optimizing and deploying AI models/solutions for real-world applications and services.
2. Prior experience of network traffic analysis, anomaly detection, behavior modeling and analysis, time-series data analysis in industry or academic settings
3. Knowledge and experience in SLM/LLM fine-tuning/optimization and agent-based automated workflow development.
4. Demonstrated experience in conducting AI research with published papers or presentations in recognized conferences or technical forums.
5. Preference will be given to candidates who can work on-site; however, exceptional candidates may be considered for remote work in rare circumstances.
