Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic HR Partner to join our forward-thinking, fast-paced, and agile organization in support of our Japan market. In this role, you will be a key partner to multiple departments across our Japan market, driving people initiatives that align with our rapid growth and evolving needs.
This role is a critical connector between global HR strategies and local implementation, requiring a balance of forward thinking and operational excellence. Forging strong relationships with both Regional and Global HR teams, including our HR centres of Excellence (CoE) teams to deliver growth and results is critical for success. You should be prepared to engage thoroughly with operational HR processes while maintaining a strategic perspective.

The ideal candidate is a fast learner with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, able to anticipate and respond to challenges effectively. They are resilient, adaptable, and maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach in changing environments. A good understanding of local cultural differences and how they influence HR practices is important, as is the ability to connect HR work with broader business goals.
Specifically, you will:
- In collaboration with our COE teams, manage and resolve local people-related issues and processes such as transfers, organizational changes, data and reporting, system changes.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on HR data and trends to influence business decisions.
- Serve as a key point of contact for local employee relations, ensuring alignment with Global/Regional policies whilst tailoring approaches to the regional or business context.
- Support the business through organisational change, acquisitions, or regional restructuring. These changes can be globally driven, therefore the ability to work as part of a global programme of work is critical.
- Track and analyse local HR metrics (e.g. Attrition, engagement), using these with external trends and insights to recommend actions to improve the employee experience and drive business impact.
- Leverage the COEs (HR Centers of Excellence) to develop and implement programs that foster employee engagement, D&I, and longer term success.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Business fluency in English and Japanese is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to execute operational tasks.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HR data analysis and different technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR generalist or people partner experience, ideally in a multinational organization.
- Prior experience managing HR functions across multiple countries or regions.
- Basic understanding of local labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
