The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.

- Work with agencies across the CEE to track relevant legislative and policy updates with a view to assessing the potential impact on the business;
- Monitor, research and analyse policy and market trends with a view to ensuring the team is informed and coordinated;
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as legal, communications, and the policy team on public policy matters to help guide the development of products, services, and policies;
- Attend regulatory / policy debates and external events across CEE markets as a representative of the company;
- Support the team with stakeholder outreach, including with civil society/NGOs and engagement on relevant issues;
- Support in executing strategies for engaging with policymakers around issues important to TikTok and our community of creators;
- Organise regional GR team's work and support planning processes;
- Organise advocacy events and supporting materials;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- JD or Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Government, Public Affairs, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of internet policy experience or 2+ working for a tech company
- Good understanding of the CEE Institutions and the CEE legislative process;
- Excellent communication skills.
- Analytical skills and an astute sense of issues/events of importance to the company;

- Multilingual skills are a distinct advantage due to the cross-regional scope of the role
- Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and to deliver measurable results;
- Prioritization and multi-tasking skills;
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion.
