The Local Services team is dedicated to delivering innovative support for core TikTok products, such as TikTok and Lemon8. The team manages location-based databases and services with the goal of helping local businesses-including small business owners, beauty services, hotels, and restaurants-connect with millions of users. By addressing unmet needs, the team plays a vital role in supporting and growing our community.
About the role
The Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our Location Based Services product suite operates smoothly and efficiently. The role will be part of a team whose goal is to improve overall product impact by uncovering opportunities, collaborating with internal cross functional partners, and devising solutions to keep our products efficient.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide product operations support for a Points of Interest (POI) database for local businesses. Uncover opportunities and provide ongoing feedback on how to improve the quality of labeled data. Collaborate with the evaluation (data labeling) team in the US to ensure effective data labeling standards.
- Provide product operations support for geographic information system (GIS) services as well as conducting competitive analysis to identify solutions that address diverse business needs.
- Develop guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and partnership teams to introduce data and services, and scale capability across international businesses.
- Identify production issues, formulate requirements, and drive problem resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience at an internet content company in product operations or similar.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with global cross functional teams.
- Experience in maps/location based services, data labeling, annotation or the O2O industry would be a plus.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $83600 - $143555 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
