The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

As the Program Manager for our Indonesia and Malaysia markets on the Trust & Safety team, you are the first point of contact that ensures our products, policies, programs, and systems work together to protect consumers and prevent abuse. You are based in Singapore and will work closely with Trust & Safety teams such as the data science and policy teams, and our Public Relations, Government Relations and Legal teams, to assess and implement regulatory and operational changes.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

Responsibilities
- Craft the Trust & Safety strategy for the Indonesia and Malaysia users community on TikTok platforms with a focus on refining our safety processes, and assessing and driving local regulatory requirements and safety considerations.
- Address various metric changes across various features such as video, live, comments, follow/like, accounts, etc. with both qualitative and quantitative approaches to detect potential risks and mitigate them.
- Facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to implement safety and compliance projects, driving problem definition to final execution; optimize the process to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Assess the safety impact on users and markets ahead of any product/feature launch and clearly communicate risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Educate the business on Trust & Safety related programs and features via team and company wide sharing.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Min. 3 years of work experience in program or project management/consulting/strategy; a plus if you are familiar with online safety/ risk control/regulatory compliance.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Bahasa is essential for this role, as you will be predominantly covering the Indonesia and Malaysia markets and closely collaborating with English and Bahasa-speaking stakeholders. Familiarity with Indonesia and Malaysia's internet user base and the changing regulatory environment is also required.
- Ability to quickly identify problems, thoroughly analyze them and be resourceful in delivering feasible solutions.
- Experienced in working with cross functional stakeholders such as Legal, Government Relations and Public Relations teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Highly data driven, capable of in-depth data interpretation; a plus if proficient in SQL.
