Team introduction:
The Distribution & Product Partnerships team continues to expand at a rapid pace. We are looking for a highly dynamic and strategic individual to join our team as a Strategic Partner Manager. This role is integral in maintaining and optimizing TikTok's relationships with our most important external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an ambitious deal-maker who can seamlessly bring internal and external stakeholders together to achieve transformative outcomes.
About the Role:
This Business Development Role is suited for an experienced professional to build on existing relationships and forge new high-impact partnerships to help drive growth and optimization for TikTok (and other ByteDance products) across partners based in North America. The primary focus for this role is to lead, execute, and scale key mobile industry innovation programs such as Preload agreements, GSMA Open Gateway, Network Innovation partnerships, Tentpole events, and further distribute TikTok and all other ByteDance products.

Main responsibilities:
- Build trust and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at strategic partner firms, ensuring alignment of priorities and sustained mutual benefit across collaborations.
- Be the front-line point of contact that graduates one-dimensional partner relationships to multi-dimensional, strategic partnerships that serve the needs of multiple TikTok Product and cross-functional stakeholders; work with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, and Legal teams to solve problems with a strong sense of urgency.
- Source new partnership opportunities from key firms, maintaining a ruthlessly data-driven and quantitative approach to underwriting new projects with a focus on ROI.
- Perfect and replicate Bi-Annual Business Reviews with key Product Partners around the globe, facilitating TikTok and Partner roadmapping and execution timelines for the subsequent 12-18 months.
- Continually re-evaluate existing product partnerships to derive the value TikTok needs, be the data-driven storyteller that continually generates excitement about new and legacy partnerships among cross-functional teams at TikTok.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Business teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch impactful product integrations and partnerships.
- Collaborate with Data Security, Data Protection, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all new and existing Product Partnerships deals reflect the latest company guidelines, regulatory requirements, contractual requirements, and approval processes.
- Overhaul TikTok's partner reporting process; oversee and maintain an efficient, compliant system that supplies partners with critical information needed to sustain and accelerate partnerships.
- Design and execute new partnership Go-To-Market strategies to maximize the impact of product integrations; understand and hone multiple marketing levers, such as press engagement, creator education, in-app engagement, and partner-led tools.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and market trends, leveraging insights to inform strategic recommendations and next-gen partnership opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field or similar
- 4+ years of experience in Finance or Management Consulting or a related field at a top tier or competitive high-growth firm.
- Willingness to travel internationally (throughout North America, LATAM, APAC, EMEA) for internal and external priority projects for a total of 1+ months every year.
- Understanding of project management tools, slides, and spreadsheets; experience with other data visualization tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing complex, multi-layered partnerships with a proven ability to deliver on multi-year business development commitments.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale, data-driven, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders around the globe.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an organization.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $130000 - $170000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
