About the Team:
The USDS Trust & Safety (T&S) Product team is responsible for building and enabling T&S products, features, tools, and data solutions to strengthen safety and assurance objectives for the US market.
We are looking for an experienced Product Operations Manager to manage smooth execution of product launches and updates while optimizing processes through a data-driven and compliance-first approach. Your work will span product launch execution & change management, MVP to post-launch operationalization, process creation & optimization, data & market analysis, and regulatory compliance and alignment. You are comfortable with ambiguity, can independently take lead, and make data-driven decisions.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. Responsibilities:
- Drive Product Launches: Lead the end-to-end execution of product launches and trust and safety strategies, including partnering with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Policy, Operations, etc.) to ensure smooth rollouts, alignment, and communication.
- Post-Launch Management: Oversee post-launch product quality by enabling cross-functional teams and refining processes to scale operations effectively, whether through immediate review or monthly/quarterly
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze product performance, user feedback, and metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Ensure Compliance: Collaborate with Legal, Policy, and additional T&S teams to ensure product features and tools meet regulatory requirements and maintain compliance across the US.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to product rollouts and operational changes, mitigating issues before they impact broader teams or users.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback loops to refine processes, optimize workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Business Management or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or program management, ideally in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience in product operations, product management, and or program management, leading cross-functional teams, and scaling operational processes.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making, including the ability to interpret data insights and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to Trust & Safety or digital platform governance (experience in content moderation or safety regulations is a plus).
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively translate and bridge between Product, Engineering, Legal, Operations, etc. teams
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on risk mitigation, proactive planning, and delivering operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or MBA degree
- Experience with global, cross-functional teams, including both technical and non-technical audiences, across different time zones, cultures, and languages
- Expertise in Trust & Safety
- Understanding of safety-by-design principles, tech industry policies
- Experience managing products related to human and/or machine-based moderation for removing harmful content.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $91200 - $206171 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
