The Global Emerging Business Team is responsible for monetizing ByteDance's newest, most exciting emerging apps, such as CapCut, Lemon8 and many more. Together with cross-functional partners, we ideate, develop, launch, improve and scale advertising solutions across ByteDance's emerging apps for our global advertising partners.
We are looking for an international Product Marketing Manager that functions as the bridge between our Sales, Product Management and Product Development teams. As part of this role, the candidate will be responsible for deeply understanding the needs from advertisers in Japan & beyond, prioritizing and raising product development requests to our product management team, develop marketing collaterals & train our sales teams on our newest advertising solutions, and identify improvement opportunities that help our clients increase campaign success. Fluent Japanese is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Strategize Global Go-to-Market (GTM) efforts for CapCut & Lemon8 ad solutions, including ad product positioning, unique selling points, market competitiveness and differentiators, customers benefits, etc.
- Develop, manage, and execute GTM programs in collaboration with global and regional teams to launch new products and solutions into regional markets.
- Create marketing collateral in Japanese (& English), with support from copywriters for perfection.
- Develop sales enablements strategies, execute and evolve with global stakeholders. Work closely with the regional teams to roll out sales enablement programs globally.
- Partner with other marketing teams to advocate ad solutions in regional markets by proactively participating in internal and external marketing events.
- Support regional sales teams in realizing business opportunities through scalable internal and external activities, e.g., client meetings, seminars, training sessions, etc.,.
- Conduct regular research to gauge CapCut & Lemon8 ad solution awareness, brand health, and conceptual blockers for fine-tuning global GTM strategies.
- Closely monitor global business performance, drive internal discussions, and diagnose business challenges and growth roadblocks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, with at least 2 years of experience in the internet industry, preferably with experience in mobile digital advertising, e-commerce, and marketing;
- Excel in Japanese & English at both oral and written capabilities, able to communicate fluently and professionally with proficient Japanese & English speakers. Chinese is a plus.
- Solid project management skills with proven success driving complex and multi-stakeholders programs independently or with limited guidance.
- Strong sense of ownership in identifying business opportunities and drive realization.
- Capable of working independently with affluent self-motivations.
- Data-sensitive, with clear logical thinking; strong learning attitude and ability to work under pressure;
- Team player, think strategically and act tactically.
- Product marketing experience in global internet companies is preferred.
