Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
About the Team
This role is focused on defining and improving the information environment on TikTok. You will work as a product manager to reduce the prevalence of problematic content and ensure a positive end user experience across your area of TikTok's Integrity & Authenticity team (misinformation, hate speech, extremism, AIGC safety, civic integrity)

Responsibilities
- Ideate, design, develop and deploy products and systems that define and remove misinformation, through product UX, content moderation and machine learning models;
- Build, evolve and execute the strategy and roadmap for your area of Integrity & Authenticity;
- Understand the needs of our users through user research & analysis;
- Conceptualize and lead the development of user-facing products and models; own feature sets end-to-end, including design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch analysis;
- Help define TikTok's long-term Integrity & Authenticity roadmap and work cross-functionally with global partner teams to make product, technical, and privacy decisions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven working knowledge in Trust & Safety;
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager (or possessing the will to rapidly build this experience through your dedication);
- Strong sense of logic and excellent critical thinking skills;
- Evidence-based, analytical, data-informed. (You like to use data to help identify problems, find opportunities, and drive continuous product improvement.);
- Can clearly describe your vision, planning and executional challenges and lead coordination with other teams to co-solve problems in depth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep passion for end user experience with experience building this into product design
- Proven working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning;
- Experience of working with international partners across different time zones and cultures.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $156864 - $296020 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
