About the team
As part of the Global Product & Technology Communications team, you will play a role in highlighting TikTok's product vision around our TikTok LIVE products and our commitment to constant innovation. We're looking for someone to operate at the intersection of livestreaming, creator opportunities, culture, and product innovation, collaborating closely with our Trust and Safety, Product, E-Commerce, Public Policy, Creator, and Legal teams across a range of topics, products, policies, partnerships, and events.
From concerts and events to science experiments and gaming, people tune into TikTok LIVE for entertaining and enriching content. In this exciting role, you'll showcase how TikTok LIVE positively impacts creators and the TikTok community, spotlighting opportunities for discovery, monetization, and dynamic interaction.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with TikTok's livestreaming product vision and business objectives. Ensure all messaging is cohesive, strategically aligned, and effectively conveys our core values and goals.
- Work cross-functionally with regional and global communications teams to drive clear narratives about our livestream products, partnerships, and vision for businesses.
- Partner closely with teams across Product, Trust and Safety, E-Commerce, Public Policy, Creator, and Legal to craft and refine messaging that supports TikTok's livestreaming initiatives. Foster collaboration to ensure consistency in communication across various platforms and channels.
- Lead the development of media strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Prioritize tactics that showcase TikTok's livestreaming innovations, creator opportunities, and cultural impact. Scale messaging and toolkits across global audiences
- Serve as a key point of contact for media inquiries related to TikTok's livestreaming products. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and aligned communication with the media, emphasizing TikTok's strategic direction and product offerings.
- Conduct continuous analyses of market trends, cultural shifts, and the livestreaming landscape to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges. Utilize these insights to adapt and refine communication strategies, ensuring TikTok remains competitive and responsive to market changes.
- Ensure livestreaming-related communications consistently reflect TikTok's brand voice and strategic goals. Act as a brand guardian, maintaining message integrity across all touchpoints and ensuring alignment with TikTok's overall narrative.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in day-to-day media relations and/or agency background
- Proven ability to distill and communicate easily across a wide range of audiences and create clear, crisp strategies, talking points, and assets that bring our story to life and build brand affinity.
- Experience in leading campaigns and events, developing assets, data storytelling, media relations, and issue handling.
- Passion for consumer product storytelling, complemented by strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Exceptional listening, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong bias-to-action, adept and agile, with the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Experience with livestreaming or creator economy a plus
- A solid capacity to both think and do
- Respect for and desire to learn from other cultures
- Previous experience working with global companies is a plus
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $115000 - $135000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
