This pod will lead Integrity-wide efforts to develop a platform-holistic compliance and transparency risk strategy with objectives aligned at the TikTok level, and in line with current and future regulatory trends. As such, this pod will serve as the subject matter experts on compliance and risk to TikTok's ads business both internally and externally. Risk Managers within this pod will require excellent problem-solving skills, a high understanding of risks associated with political content and the global regulatory environment, an enthusiasm for identifying and managing remedies for gaps in existing risk control mechanisms from conception to completion.
We are looking for a self-starter with excellent program and stakeholder management skills. The candidate should have experience in interpreting and prioritising complex requirements, organising parallel workstreams and implementing change. The ideal candidate has experience in analysis of future and existing risk areas, can thrive in ambiguous environments, identify trade-offs, prioritize key tasks, and execute decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:
1. Own global strategies for risk control across policy, process, and platform risks, including identifying and managing project risks and issues.
2. Perform risk assessments at a product, process, platform, or regulation level to identify key gaps and opportunities, align on priorities and ensure strong governance over decision making
3. Manage coordination of responses to governmental requests for information among cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Product and Operations.
4. Manage regulatory compliance projects, including developing and implementing action plans, in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
5. Provide consultation to cross-functional teams on related subjects, including regulatory risk trends, political risk control gaps, and proposed solutions.
6. Work in close partnership with the Business Integrity-Regulatory Solutions team

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Professional and demonstrated work experience in risk management, trust and safety, compliance or related fields
2. Demonstrated experience in project management and/or incident management/risk response operations
3. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
4. Ability to identify gaps and solve complex problems
5. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, foster relationships and influence others without authority
6. Strong background in program or product management, product operations, management consulting, auditing (financial or technical auditing), technical consultancy, risk management
7. Experience in regulation interpretation and implementation in any industry e.g. GDPR (General data protection regulation), Financial Services regulations such as BASEL, IFRS; pharma regulation/ similar

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working in the tech industry or working for/with regulators and/or government agencies
2. Comfortable working with data and/or possesses data analysis skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
4. Experience in implementing compliance and risk controls and providing ongoing compliance assurance
