About the Team:
We are looking for a Partner Manager to join our Creative Product and Operations team in Japan.
The Creative Product and Operations; under the Global Monetization Product and Technology Team, are a critical means of accelerating the global sales of Tiktok's paid media offering by working with 3rd party partners/agencies to produce,optimize and strategize content that make marketing on Tiktok easy and effective.
As a Partner Manager, you are expected to provide deep product insight and ongoing consultative support to Tiktok's Global Business Solutions team and their clients. Partner Managers will work closely with the product and sales teams as well as our most strategic partners to develop education and services related to marketing on Tiktok.
The immediate focus will be on accelerating creator/creative partners in Japan in order to increase the adoption of our marketing solutions and production of high quality content to enable our advertisers.

Responsibilities:
- Prospect and recruit new partners for the program to help grow a dynamic and innovative partner ecosystem.
- Maintain direct and ongoing relationships with partners from Japanese creative/creator agencies, managing onboarding, contracts, invoicing, and addressing business, technical, or policy issues while advocating for our ecosystem internally.
- Identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with top partners in Japan, ensuring they are delivering on our program goals, tracked and measured for success based on very strict performance metrics.
- Collaborate with external partners and agencies to create, refine, and develop strategies for content that simplifies and enhances marketing efforts on TikTok.
- Drive partner adoption of our creative products and provide continued education for driving product adoption across the ecosystem.
- Develop scaled approaches and processes for in-market activity and communication with the partner ecosystem.
- End to end process of partner invoices every month.
- Strong operational rigour ensuring team trackers and documents consistently updated and well-maintained.
- Based in Tokyo and able to return to the office.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of client-facing experience in advertising sales or partner management.
- In-depth understanding of Japan's digital, social media, and creator/influencer landscape, including cultural nuances, trends, and consumer behavior.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with peers and managers, both internally and externally.
- Experience with negotiating and dealing with agreements/contracts.
- Fluency in English and Japanese required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in engaging and presenting to audiences at various levels of seniority, both internally and externally.
- Background in advertising creative or management tech platforms, agencies, or advertisers.
