TikTok's SMB Team aims to help businesses and brands of all sizes unleash their creative side, connect with our audience, and drive revenue and growth. From designing customer sales and service programs to ensuring our customers have best-in-class tools and products at their fingertips, our SMB team combines operational expertise with a customer-centric mindset to help businesses achieve their marketing goals on TikTok, no matter how big or small.
Responsibilities
Own market development across the sales funnel and verticals.
Business Management
- Apply sales rigor and metrics to establish the fundamentals of revenue forecasting at all levels: weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

- Use a methodological approach to define success for both result metrics and action metrics across business segments throughout sales funnels and verticals.
- Ensure day-to-day operational effectiveness.
Business Strategy
- Employ holistic thinking and analytics regarding the entire business and market trends at the country level, while maintaining a regional and global perspective to create direction for the team.
- Maintain mid-term (6 months) and long-term (1-2 years) perspectives for effective planning and contribution to Global and APAC SMB's Long-Range Planning.
- Anticipate the necessary resources, capabilities, and challenges associated with successful execution against the Long-Range Plan.
Team Development
- Hire and nurture industry talent within TikTok's talent pipeline; manage performance; ensure talent retention; provide expert coaching and guidance on career paths; facilitate talent mobility within the organization.
- Maintain a consistent track record of building high-performing individuals and line managers, as recognized by the broader team.
XFN Collaboration
- Drive sales and cross-functional synergies toward business direction and prioritization, creating a co-creation operating model with XFN teams.
- Recognize and promote thought leadership among XFN peers across business, people, and organizational considerations.
- Industry Influence
- Provide thought leadership to strengthen TikTok's market image.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of successful media/advertising sales experience with a proven track record in developing and executing successful revenue growth strategies, with a focus on the Japan/Korea market.
- Inspirational leadership style and ability to empower the team with least 3 years of experience in providing strong leadership and driving high-performing sales teams.
- Proven ability to excel in matrix organizations and successful collaboration experience with ecosystem partners and agencies, ensuring optimal sales and customer engagement outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working with revenue targets and thriving in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in platform and scaled operations is considered a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the Japan/Korea AdTech market and its SMB lead initiatives.
