SMB engineering team is responsible for developing software to empower all small and medium businesses to succeed by building scalable platforms, seamless products and comprehensive solutions. In the next few years, while SMB revenue will be the significant portion of total ads business, as an engineering team, we also dedicate ourselves to solving challenging but interesting problems in a more scalable and innovative way through advanced software architecture, engineering practice and cutting-edge algorithms. At the same time, we closely work with strategies, data scientists, product managers, operations and sales teams. Diversity in skills, culture and background is our source of power.
We are looking for machine learning engineers who are passionate about innovating, creating and evolving scalable and reliable software, architecture and technical solutions to systematically and aggressively enable our SMB customers' success and grow our company's revenue. You will work on many different challenging problems, such as creative recommendation, ads delivery, personalized coupons, LLM-based customer support, etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for building the growth algorithm of TikTok Monetization, including the acquisition, conversion, and resurrection of advertisers.
2. Participate in the optimization of TikTok Monetization delivery system, including targeting, recall, and ranking.
3. Responsible for the construction of TikTok Monetization intelligence service, exploring the application of large language models.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. Experience with machine learning, in either an academic or industrial setting.
3. Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including natural language processing, computer vision, click-through rate prediction, etc.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Go, or Java, and experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn).
5. Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
7. Very strong teamwork skills (e.g. communication, collaboration, ownership, empathy, honesty).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. Have relevant experience in Growth, Search, Advertising, Recommendation and AIGC industries.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129960 - $194750 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
