Join the E-commerce Global Supply Chain and Logistics team at TikTok! We're enhancing the shopping experience and reducing logistics operational costs. We are seeking brilliant and motivated graduate software engineers, who are eager to apply their knowledge in machine learning (ML), operations research (OR), data mining, and statistical inference to real-world challenges.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12-24 weeks and begins in May/June 2025 or August/September 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following start dates below:

Responsibilities:
- Exploring cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content), and multimodal machine learning in the field of content commerce.
- Applying technologies such as AIGC in the field of content commerce, empowering various aspects of e-commerce such as product creativity generation, generation and optimization of product materials, virtual try-on, e-commerce video generation and editing.
- MultiModal Content understanding of TikTok short videos, identifying various structured information related to e-commerce to meet the purchasing demands of different consumers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD candidate in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields.
- Current or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Understanding of TensorFlow/PyTorch or similar training frameworks. Familiarity with mixed precision training, distributed training, and TensorRT deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduating December 2025 onwards with intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship;
- Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
- Internship experience or research experience, especially in e-commerce, multimodal/AIGC, including image and video understanding, generation.
- Research in a specific area of computer vision/multimodality and publications at conferences such as KDD, NeurIPS, WWW, SIGIR, WSDM, CIKM, ICLR, ICML, IJCAI, AAAI.
- Excellent communication skills, strong learning ability, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude.
