The Team
The EU and Uk Regulatory team focuses on advising on advertising and online safety regulatory matters within the technology sector or other comparable consumer-facing industries.

The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated lawyer with experience of advising on advertising and online safety regulatory matters within the technology sector or other comparable consumer-facing industries. This role will play an important role in the EU and UK Legal team and will be expected to handle complex and high profile issues. The suitable candidate should also be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and, on occasions, dealing with urgent and/or competing deadlines. With the introduction of the EU's Digital Services Act (and accompanying codes on Disinformation and Hate Speech), Political Advertising Regulation, AI Act and the UK's Online Safety Act, there has never been such an interesting time to be working in this area.

Responsibilities
- Supporting business teams to ensure ongoing compliance with new and existing advertising and online safety platform-related legislation across Europe.
- Engaging with regulators, including those responsible for advertising and online platform regulation, with responsibility for ensuring the consistent and strategic handling of regulatory enquiries and investigations.
- Assessing risk and coordinating with the wider business as a trusted adviser on compliance and risk management issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 2+ years' PQE.
- Good knowledge of EU/EEA and UK advertising rules and other areas of regulation relevant to online platforms.
- Experience of regulatory compliance and regulatory investigations within Europe, including advertising rules, online safety and regulation of online platforms.
- Ability to manage a large number and variety of high profile and strategic projects and navigate ambiguous legal and regulatory environments.
- Ability to work as a team player who can effectively work with, manage and coordinate colleagues, internal stakeholders and the business.
- Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and proficient in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organisation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Background inhouse within a consumer-facing technology company or extensive experience in this area from private practice.
