About the Team
We are seeking an HR Business Partner to provide support to our TikTok Engineering teams. You will be responsible for employee relations, retention and supporting initiatives such as performance reviews, while also improving existing processes and procedures collaborating with key stakeholders across the business. As we continue to rapidly grow, you will also assist in building innovative new programs to support our R&D teams as they scale. The role will be based in our San Jose office.
Responsibilities
1. Partner with your assigned business unit(s) and implement high-quality HR practices within the team.
Manage employee disciplinary issues and provide advice to business leaders on ways to manage each case.
2. Consult with line management and provide HR guidance when appropriate, incl. talent development, performance management, and employee relations.
3. Proactively assess team and employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
4. Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the HR operations, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and other HR teams to implement solutions.
5. Drive employee engagement agenda for the employees in your business unit(s).
6. Be the ambassador of TikTok organizational culture. Plan and implement organizational culture activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. BA/BS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent years of HR experience
2. 4+ years HR experience
3. 1+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner
4. Experience with performance management, employee relations and data analytics/reporting.
5. Demonstrated project management and change management experience, and ability to drive programs independently
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in human resources or related field is a plus
2. Interpersonal communication skills and experience building relationships at all levels of the organization
3. Experience in adapting work style to fit the needs of the organization, including your business clients, global team members, and cross-functional partners

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $228000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
