At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a crucial role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed worldwide, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real-time. TikTok's SMB team aims to help businesses, agencies and brands of all sizes unleash their creative side, connect with our audience, or perhaps be discovered! From designing scaled sales and service delivery programs to ensuring our customers have tailored tools and products at their fingertips, our SMB team combines operational expertise with a customer-centric mindset to help businesses achieve their marketing goals on TikTok, no matter how big or small. The Head of Industry serves as the business leader responsible for driving revenue for advertisers in the education, jobs, and auto industries. Your goal is to exceed revenue targets by developing the go-to-market strategy, prioritizing key sales narratives, and leading a team of advertising sales leaders and individual contributors who are split across sales (Brand Partnerships) and account management (Client Solutions) functions. You will be responsible for identifying the needs of the business and allocating appropriate resources to drive sustained growth. TikTok follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week, or as directed by the manager/department/office. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time. This position is full-time and based out of our Austin, TX office, which follows a 4 day in-office schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Craft overall strategy to deliver on revenue targets and steer the vertical to increased growth potential
- Prioritize sales narratives that relate to the needs of your industries
- Deep understanding of product to drive enhancements to unlock revenue
- Bring a consultative approach that will align around a customer first methodology
- Provide thought-leadership and mentorship to your team on overall account planning
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of key vertical market trends and customer opportunities
- Develop and lead a national sales team of people managers and individual contributors
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in digital advertising, ad sales, and/or brand marketing
- People management experience
- Strong knowledge of the education, jobs, and auto industries: business models, market drivers, and growth strategies
- Mastery in marketing, sales strategies, and sales enablement
- Expertise in media channels preferred by advertisers in the education, jobs, and auto industries. Understanding of commonly used methods of ad budget allocation based on approaches to measurement and attribution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing people managers
- Knowledge of agency ecosystem, digital and traditional
- Ability to foster C-Level executive relationships with a genuine interest in customers' success
- A proven penchant for creative problem-solving
- Proven track record of high-level negotiation and exceeding sales targets
